This guy was not having it with cops today, and quite frankly, we all get fed up a little sometimes, don’t we? A viral video shows a black man absolutely ripping into a cop for allegedly pulling a gun on him during what was supposed to be a simple traffic stop.
The video has gone viral on Twitter, with almost 300,000 retweets and more than 500,000 likes.
Last Wednesday, the video was posted to Facebook under the name Randell Minott, showing the man tearing into the officer who can only nod (and sometimes shake) his head and say “OK,” as the man lambasts him.
“A turn signal not made is a big enough of a crime for you to feel like you need to take out your service pistol, right? Right?” the man, obviously upset, tells the cop. “Big fucking crime.”
The man tells the cop that if he had just come to the car and done his normal routine, there would have been no problems, but, that instead, “I turn around to a fucking gun pointed in my face!”
“You pointed your gun at me. Do you feel empowered?” the man asks the cops who stays mostly silent. “You see what the fuck going on on TV?”
The Facebook description of the video read:
MICHEAL BENNET a rich football player and they threw his ass on the floor and pushed a gun in his head for nothing and still you lost souls still jump on every video defending these dudes. If you have a problem with the way I talk to a cop who ILLEGALLY POINTED A GUN AT MY HEAD then LEAVE THIS COUNTRY (see what I did there #LOL) Because last I check its in my constitutional rights #GoAmerikkka
If he made a mistake and killed me him and his partner would of made up any kind of lie to get him off…even if they had to make me seem like I was up to something. The day a POLICE OFFICER snitches on his fellow BAD OFFICER and GET REWARDED FOR IT instead of bashed I will start trusting police… until then you know the drill!!!
Meanwhile, folks across social media have been loving the man’s righteous anger, praising him for calling out the cops.
The Root has reached out to Minott to learn more about the story.
