Trump Attacks San Juan Mayor, Says Puerto Rico Workers Are Lazy

President Donald Trump decided to launch an early Saturday morning Twitter assault on the mayor of San Juan, accusing her of being manipulated by the Democratic Party, and told to be “nasty” to him.

He then decided to blame her leadership for the slowness in repairs, while calling Puerto Rican workers lazy, saying they “want everything done for them,” reported Raw Story.

Throughout Friday, Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz made multiple appeals to mainland U.S. citizens that “people are dying” in Puerto Rico, and was somewhat critical of the president refusing to send more help to the U.S. territory that was devastated by hurricane Maria.

Raw Story reported later in the day that Cruz ramped up her appeal, specifically addressing Trump, saying, “We are not as second-class citizens, but as animals that can be disposed of.”

Trump, who has a history of being unable to control his emotions, lashed out at Cruz early Saturday morning in the series of tweets that can be seen below:
