These days John McCain has been a vocal opponent of ISIS. But it wasn’t long ago that he went to Syria to meet with factions of rebels fighting the Syrian government who now have turned out to be ISIS members.
While there are many factions fighting against the Assad Regime, those in the pictures taken with Senator McCain have been positively identified as members of the self-styled “Islamic State.”
The very same terrorist group which is now carrying out ruthless attacks on Christians, Yazidis and Shiites, was in fact who Senator McCain was promoting, in much the same way that the Reagan Administration lauded the proto-Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.
After Senator McCain returned from his trip to Syria, he said that “it was a very moving experience to meet these fighters who have been struggling now for over two years.”
McCain told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that “they’re very aware of the battlefield situation.”
Furthermore, he explained on Cooper’s 360 show, that, “they’re very disturbed about the dramatic influx of Hezbollah fighters, more Iranians, and of course, stepped-up activities of Bashar Assad.”

But in the image above, we see General Salim Idris, the head of the Free Syria so-called “moderates”.
But Idris was kicked out for being “too moderate.”
To the far left, we also see Khalid al-Hamad who is none other than the infamous “heart-eater” featured in a viral video where he cut out and ate the heart of a Shiite victim of ISIS in Syria.

Some have even indicated that the man behind Al-Hamad is none other than the infamous “Caliph Ibrahim,” or “Al-Baghdadi.” We are still investigating this with our citizen journalists on the ground in Syria and Iraq. Bookmark this page and check back for updates.
